Welcome to the official site of the Five Valleys Pachyderm club located in Missoula, Montana. We offer educational talks from many of our local, state-wide, and national leaders on issues of government, politics and community service. And it is done in an informal lunch type setting. We also assist the educational efforts of high school and college students in our state.
All are more than welcome to attend and no RSVP is required. Lunch is "no host" and just ordered off the menu. Meetings are held every Friday Noon until 1:00 pm at the Montana Club Restaurant on north Reserve Street in Missoula, Montana.
Who are we? Pachyderm is an officially recognized allied organization of the Republican Party. We are a political club that is patterned after civic clubs with programs centered around government and politics. Open to all!
Five Valleys Pachyderm is not a part of the Missoula County Republican Central Committee and as such does not have anything to do with the day to day opperations of running the nuts and bolts daily opperations of the local, state, or national Republican Party. Although many Five Valleys members are also very active in the Missoula County Republican Central Committee and Five Valleys Pachyderm is very supportive of its efforts.
Preamble;
It is our belief that most of the corrupting influences in American politics could be erased and government generally made more responsive by one basic improvement. That is, simply for more good citizens to participate in politics. "We get the government we deserve, not the one we wish for," remains a guide-star for a free people. We offer a meaningful movement of political clubs as the most practical means by which a broad citizen participation in politics may be achieved.
Purpose;
To provide a practical means for broad citizen participation in politics.
* To promote practical political education and the dissemination of information on our political system.
* To promote the development of potential political leaders.
* To assist in carrying out the purposes of the Republican Party, whose purpose we believe includes:
* To provide leadership in government.
* To protect individual rights and freedom.
* To promote clean government with local emphasis.
* To keep the public informed on the status of their government.
