From the Springfield, Missouri Convention & Visitors Bureau, a warm welcome to all:

The heart and soul of Springfield is rooted in its genuine dedication to hard work and homegrown innovation. With a unique mix of the vitality and conveniences of a metropolitan city coupled with the warm hospitality reminiscent of a small town, I think Springfield is the ideal location for the 50th Jubilee Pachyderm National Convention.

We are the headquarters of Bass Pro Shops (which some people say once you have been in one, you have been in them all but literally that is NOT the case and several clients say as much once they’ve been to ours). Bass Pro now features both the Archery Museum and the National Rifle Museum; both are free to all guests. We are also home of the Springfield Cardinals a double A affiliation to the St. Louis Cardinals and they will be in town while you are here. We have an Air & Military Museum (all ran by Veterans that volunteer), several golf courses, Wilson Creek National Battlefield, Fantastic Caverns, Pythian Castle (which was used during WWII as a lieutenant headquarters and housed POW’s as well as had many USO dances). We also house over 800 restaurants, have a revitalized downtown, many art galleries, live theaters, we are home to Route 66 (our new History Museum downtown will have a whole section just on the history of Route 66), Springfield National Cemetery (one of the only cemeteries that both confederate & union soldiers are buried) and much more. For additional information on any of these attractions, please visit our website athttp://www.springfieldmo.org.

We are looking forward to hosting 50th Jubilee and see you in June 2017!
